The Wells Journal, in conjunction with Specsavers, at 60a High Street, Wells, is launching a competition to give away kit worth up to £500 to a junior sports team in the area which is in need of a new look to boost their performance.
Store director Nic Johns said: "We believe it is really important to support the community wherever possible so we decided to run a competition to find a talented sports team in need of a new look.
"We're urging all teams to get in contact.
"You could be a thriving swimming team, a newly-formed football club or a successful netball squad – it doesn't matter what sport you are involved in as all teams are welcome to enter."
To be in with a chance, team representatives should write in and explain why their team deserves a new look in 50 words.
Please also include a picture of your team.

The closing date is December 11. Teams must be in the under-16 age group or below.
